The sessions will be imparted by national and international trainers with decades of experience helping industries of all sizes reduce their energy consumption and production costs.<\/p>\n<p>The course combines online and face-to-face sessions. It also takes participants out of the classroom into their work environments where they are supported to develop energy management systems that are tailored to their company\u2019s needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9f2e496 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9f2e496\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Over the 10 months period participants will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain an in-depth theoretical and practical understanding of energy management across various industrial processes.<\/li>\n<li>Learn to use new tools and strategies, and develop customized energy management initiatives for their individual workplaces.<\/li>\n<li>Gain practical skills and experience in developing EnMS documentation, identifying energy saving opportunities, establishing baseline and energy savings targets.<\/li>\n<li>Learn to track progress and gather data resulting from the implementation of energy saving measures.<\/li>\n<li>Learn from their peers&#8217; experiences while building cross-industry relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Become part of a growing and active network of energy management experts in Sri Lanka and beyond.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5a32aeee elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5a32aeee\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>The programme consists of four modules, which will be delivered as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Module 1: 2 days : Context and Leadership<\/li>\n<li>Module 2: 4 days : Planning and Energy Performance<\/li>\n<li>Module 3: 3 days : Implementation and operations<\/li>\n<li>Module 4: 4 days : Review and Improvement<\/li>\n<li>Final exam<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e370cbd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e370cbd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>A growing sector with opportunities for women:<\/strong> The energy efficiency sector currently employs 10 million workers worldwide, with the potential to grow by another 4.5 million by 2030 if targets set at COP28 to double energy efficiency are met. (max. 2 per company):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Target energy intensive industries: <i>Metal (rolling, fabrication, metal finishing etc.); food and beverages; rubber (tyres, gloves etc.); textile and apparel; mining (tiles, porcelain, roofing tiles, cement etc.); consumer products; paper and printing; chemicals and paints; polymer (packaging, plastic goods, PVC etc.).<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Industries with a target to initiate EnMS implementation within 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Participant Category 2: Individual applicants<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Energy efficiency experts, consultants, representatives from academia and representatives from training institutions who satisfy the following minimum criteria are invited to submit application for the programme:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in industry with at least 2 years in an energy related field<\/li>\n<li>Graduate of a Higher Educational Institution in Engineering or Science (NVQ level 7)<\/li>\n<li>An expression of interest to pursue a career in energy management<\/li>\n<li>Initiate EnMS implementation in an industry within 2026<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of any of the ISO family of standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, ISO 50001, ISO 55001) is an advantage\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year, applications are open for a limited number of young graduates who have a passion for energy saving and interest in pursuing a career in energy management.
